Picma Walkthrough
Picma is a brain game that tests players' decision making abilities. This puzzle game features simple controls, sixty puzzles broken into five difficulty levels, and simple mouse controls.
The goal of Picma is to form pictures given the numerical hints. The mouse is used to color in squares on the grid. Coloring the wrong squares invokes a time penalty. There is no way to lose, but it is best to complete each puzzle as quickly as possible. There are five groups of twelve puzzles, broken up by difficulty level, giving a grand total of sixty levels in this brain game. Your progress is automatically saved, so you do not have to finish all sixty puzzles in one sitting.
Each level of Picma features a grid with numbers along its edges. These numbers are clues which indicate the number of groups, the number of squares per group, and the colors of squares in the adjacent row or column. To make things easier, it is best to color in the rows or columns that have the largest groups first, then work from there. Using the process of elimination, you will be able to deduce the proper squares to color and which colors to use.
This brain game primarily tests the decision making abilities of players. The problem is already laid out for players, so they must choose the proper squares to color based on the information provided. The heuristic of trial-and-error is also applicable under some circumstances. Finally, perception can be helpful since players that recognize the shapes, patterns, or images formed by the colored grids may be able to complete puzzles without using the numerical hints. Perception is not necessary in this brain game, but it does help.
Picma has simple controls, beautiful graphics, and soothing background music, making it perfect for casual gamers. If you are a fan of nonograms or Picross, then you will surely enjoy Picma!
