Electric Box 2 is the sequel to the puzzle game, Electric Box. Electric Box 2 features graphics that are even simpler than those of its predecessor, the same control scheme and gameplay style, and forty new levels.

If you are have played the first Electric Box, then there is little new to learn in Electric Box 2. The objective of this puzzle game is to route power from the power supply to the target. Levels do not have time limits, but the faster a level is completed, the higher your time bonus will be. Your progress is saved at the end of each level, just like in the first Electric Box, so you will be able to continue your game later if you end your session.

Electric Box 2 uses the same mouse control scheme of its predecessor. Click and drag objects from the right side of the screen to place them on the stage. Some objects can have their direction changed by clicking on them. Objects that are already placed when you begin a level cannot be moved in this puzzle game, but you can still change their direction. Hold the spacebar to see which objects can be moved and which cannot. Click on the power supply to put the level in motion; click it again to turn it off. The power supply must be turned off in order for you to modify objects.

Although Electric Box 2 features more items and levels than its predecessor, it still tests the same cognitive abilities. Problem-solving abilities are necessary in this brain game since you will have to work out a solution using the items at your disposal. Sequencing, the ability to break down problems into smaller, more manageable units, is also useful here since providing power to each wire can be seen as one task. It may help to know that all objects provided must be used to complete each level. A plethora of new tools has been added to this puzzle game, so be sure to hover your mouse over items to learn about their uses.
