99 Bricks Walkthrough
The game of 99 Bricks shares similarities with the classic puzzle game, Tetris, but the goal is to build a tower rather than prevent the blocks from reaching the top of the screen. This brain game features colorful graphics, simple controls, and gameplay that will challenge your visual-spatial cognitive skill!
The goal of 99 Bricks is to build your tower as high as you can using Tetris-like blocks. Blocks are allowed to fall from the screen, and there is no objective way to lose in this brain game; just stack the blocks as high as you can! Your final score is based on the height of your tower. You may also submit your score and end the game prematurely by selecting the "Submit Score" option from the pause menu if you so choose.
Keyboard controls are used in 99 Bricks. The left and right arrow keys move the bricks while the down arrow key causes bricks to fall faster. Blocks can also be rotated by using the up arrow key, similar to Tetris. If you feel that you cannot the current brick, then you can destroy to by pressing the C key. You may also hold the Z key to zoom out on your tower. Zooming out is useful since it lets you get the big picture and analyze the structural integrity of your tower.
The visual-spatial cognitive skill is the primary ability tested in 99 Bricks. Fitting the shapes together in your mind is important to form a stable tower. You will also have to think ahead in this brain game (which falls under the decision making category), using the next block prompt in the upper-right corner of the screen. Finally, a bit of rudimentary physics knowledge may help you to maintain a stable tower.
If you are a fan of Tetris, then 99 Bricks will appeal to you. Although this puzzle game doesn't exactly match the gameplay style of Tetris, you will still have to fit the pieces together to get the job done. See how high you can build your tower in 99 Bricks!
